Vintage Modern Christmas Table
I love to mix vintage and modern together. And my favorite time to really go all out is the holidays. I love to pull out my collection of vintage ornaments and let them shine!
My Christmas tree this year is filled with my favorite holiday colors, pinks and reds. I wanted this Christmas table to reflect the beautiful tree in the background.
I found these adorable Fa La La napkins the other day and they were the inspiration to create this fun and festive vintage modern holiday table.
Set against these tartan plaid plates, the vibe is modern and not too serious. After all, the holidays should be fun right?!
The place settings for this vintage modern Christmas table aren’t too fussy. I used my favorite simple white plates from Ikea and layered a festive plaid salad plate on top. Then I finished the look off with some gold flatware and fun brass mugs for our favorite winter drink, Moscow Mules!
White and Red Christmas Table Idea
This vintage modern christmas table takes full advantage of some of my favorite piece. I love these vintage mid-century brass candle holders that I found on Etsy! They are so simple yet have such a beautiful patina.
I love the red candlesticks that remind me of when I was growing up. My mom used to set our holiday table with red candles too!
I sprinkled some of my absolute favorite vintage ornaments in between the greenery.
And speaking of greenery, let me tell you how I came up with this super easy holiday table centerpiece.
Faux Christmas Table Garland Hack
So, this centerpiece on my vintage modern Christmas table is set using a faux garland! I know, you absolutely can’t tell. And I am going to show you how I made it even more impressive!
I have found the best source for faux christmas garland and I have it all over my home. It looks so real but you don’t have to deal with it drying out! Win win!
So, here is the garland set on the table before I fluffed it up with some real greenery picked from our yard.
I went outside and cut some branches from our cedar trees. They blended in so nicely with this faux fir garland. I added a few branches of eucalyptus and some boxwood branches too.
It only took a few extra branches of fresh greenery to make this table garland look super impressive! I love this hack that can take something good look absolutely stunning! And it cost nothing!
The branches will dry nicely and when they no longer look good I can easily pull them out and replace them! This christmas table garland will last all season long.
I then draped the greenery with some battery operated LED lights and added in some vintage ornaments. A Super easy and simple holiday table centerpiece.
I love centerpieces that don’t involve flowers, don’t you?
