How to update your entryway for spring including some fun and simple front porch decor!
I’ve made some simple updates to my front porch decor and entryway for spring. Freshening up your decor for spring can breathe new life into your space if you think outside the box!
Spring Entryway
Boy, has it been a week! Honestly, I don’t even know what day it is. I feel like we have been living in a different reality. Our county was officially notified to shelter in place for 3 weeks due to the coronavirus. This new and unchartered territory but I am determined to carry on usual, best I can (and at home).
Since we are spending so much time at home, it seems like a spring refresh is in order, right?
I’ll be honest, I didn’t have time to spend more than ten minutes changing things on my front porch and in my spring entryway. But it just goes to show, a few simple actions can change the way your home feels.
Here are a few easy ways you can update your entryway for spring:
- Clean and clear the clutter
- Add some plants or fresh flowers
- Add a pretty spring-scented candle
- Switch things around. Move items to a new spot for a fresh new look and feel.
It’s amazing what a difference fresh greenery can make when you are spending so much time indoors. In my spring entryway, I added these two cute indoor plants I found at Trader Joe’s for $5.99. My fiddle leaf is loving this spot so far. We will see how long I can keep it alive!
And a pretty spring-scented candle can really lighten your mood. Not only does the candlelight set the ambiance for your home, the scent can make your home smell fresh and ready for warmer weather ahead!
Spring Front Porch Decor
I normally have time to do a fun new update to my front porch for spring. You can see past spring front porch decor ideas here:

But for now, I did a really simple swap out of the planters and added some roses and greenery.
This moss wreath was a pretty easy DIY and a knockoff of one I saw at Anthropologie a few weeks ago.
Going from there, I found a beautiful white garden rose bush at Trader Joe’s when I was picking up coronavirus sanctions, lol! The price was under $15 and I know I can keep it happy and alive a few months on the porch before I transfer it into the ground and add to our rose collection.

I love these woven planters that I found recently. They are lined with plastic to prevent leaking and they come in 4 different sizes.
For now, we will be quarantined together for the next three weeks and I will be playing the role of wife, mom, teacher, cook, small business owner, blogger and friend! Wish us luck!
