Black and White Mantel Decor for Spring
This year my spring home is feeling light, bright and neutral! I love to add pops of green to this simple color palette. And nothing says spring more than fresh greenery right?
Now, I have to confess. I do not have a green thumb for indoor plants! I seem to always kill whatever new plants I bring into my home. So, I have become pretty adept at finding some great looking faux versions! The beautiful fern on my simple mantel is faux and I absolutely love how full and lush it looks.
And don’t you love to use unusual vessels to plant in? I found this cool looking watering can from Target and decided it would be perfect with a houseplant popped into it! It is an unexpected addition to this simple mantel decor.
Be sure to also check out my favorite DIY post: How To Make Fabric Pots. I love to use these canvas wraps on all my indoor plants – real or faux!
DIY Bunny Print
Now, since I wanted to add a little Easter vibes to my simple mantel decorations, I created this cute black and white bunny framed art. I easily found a printable bunny photograph from Etsy and printed it onto regular printer paper. Then I put it into an 11×14 frame and voila! Cute, but simple Easter decor!
I can’t wait until my daughter gets home from school and sees this cutie. She loves rabbits and unless my husband gives in to a real one, this will be the closest thing we get to a bunny rabbit in this house!
Mantel Decorating Idea for Everyday
What I love most about this simple mantel decor is that it can be for any season. The neutral black and white decor is so easy and timeless. And the cute bunny print can be swapped out with a family photo or a seasonal landscape photograph. My favorite part of decorating for the seasons is to keep it simple and personalized to your own taste!
