Romantic Spring Table
A few weeks ago I shared with you one of my favorite projects to date. This Eucalyptus Table Garland that was made using a faux garland from Amazon! I loved creating this simple yet stunning centerpiece. Be sure to read the post to see all the details and get the step by step instructions.
Now I want to share with you the rest of this simple table setting. There’s nothing over-the-top about it. Refined and timeless neutrals for an understated elegance that goes perfectly with the romantic spring centerpiece.
Simple Spring Table Setting
When I set my tables, I tend to lean towards a more casual and rustic table setting. I don’t usually layer a ton of plates or use placemats. Sometimes I will use a pretty woven charger, but for the most part, I keep it simple.
I know some may find my approach to be too simple, but I like the casual and stay-longer vibe it lends to my tables.
This simple spring table setting is set with my favorite white dishes from Farmhouse Pottery. They really have a beautiful feel to them that has much more interest than a boring white plate. They are hand thrown in Vermont (my favorite place ever) and each piece is unique since they are all handmade!
Now, I usually like to pair my dishes with antique European hotel flatware, but this time I used gold silverware to mimic the brass in my vintage candlesticks.
And the plates are topped with linen napkins tied in a rustic knot. I didn’t bother steaming or pressing the napkins. Instead, letting the natural texture of the linen napkins add to the rustic and romantic feel of this spring table.
For the glassware I used two different glasses. A traditional red wine glass and also a fun and vintage-inspire glass for a little added interest. You could use it for water or for a yummy cocktail!
Neutral Table Decor Inspiration
When you are creating a beautiful romantic spring table centerpiece, you may want to keep the rest of the table neutral. This allows the centerpiece to shine and the rest of the table to add to the elegance of the function.
The simple table setting is perfect for a casual sit down dinner with friends or a more formal affair. The centerpiece is the star of the show here.
And the overall feeling created with the soft neutrals and low candlelight is one that invites guests to stay awhile and linger longer. That is the hygge lifestyle!
