Elderflower Rosé Wine Spritzer
Rosé season is here and what better time to make this simple but beautiful cocktail recipe? A rosé wine spritzer is the perfect drink to sip on hot summer days. This is a refreshingly light cocktail that has quickly become one of my favorite drinks during summertime! It’s about the only time you can drink your wine with ice without getting a side eye, lol!
What is in a wine spritzer?
A wine spritzer cocktail is a mixture of flat or sparkling wine topped with club soda or seltzer water and a spritz of fresh citrus juice. It is a drink that you can easily sip on all day long and is so refreshing during the summer months. Although, I definitely don’t reserve rosé wine spritzers for just summertime!
For this version of a classic wine spritzer, I am using a dry rosé wine and elderflower liqueur. This is one of my favorite combinations and if you haven’t tried elderflower syrup before, you are in for a treat! This liqueur is slightly sweet with a subtle honey flavor. I love to add a splash to a champagne cocktail as well!
Rosé Cocktail Recipe
It is so simple to make this rosé wine spritzer. Which leaves you more time to enjoy the summer sunshine outside! This recipe makes 2 cocktails and takes less than 5 minutes. Those are my favorite kind of drinks. Easy peasy!
Mix together one cup of dry rosé wine with 2 shots of St. Germain liqueur. Add a squeeze of fresh lemon juice and stir together. Pour the cocktail mixture into two glasses filled with ice. Top with a splash or two of fizzy water and enjoy! See full recipe below.
