Christmas cocktail recipe idea for Cranberry Whiskey Mules. A fun twist on classic Moscow Mules.
One of my favorite cocktails in the winter is a Moscow Mule. And lately I’ve been turned onto whiskey drink recipes. So, what a better combination than these Cranberry Whiskey Mules for a festive Christmas cocktail recipe!
Christmas Cocktail Recipe Idea
A few years ago I shared this Moscow Mule Gift Basket that was a huge hit. Not only is this such a great hostess gift idea, but I in the post I shared my go-to recipe for Moscow mules.
I started making Whiskey Mules around Thanksgiving and I have perfected this recipe just in time for the holidays! Zingy ginger beer paired with the warmth from the whiskey make these so much more interesting than the traditional Moscow Mule. And I love the color and flavor that the cranberry juice adds. I think this is the perfect recipe for a Christmas cocktail.
So, give this Christmas cocktail recipe a try and let me know what you think! Of course, you can make these well past the holidays too.

How To Make Cranberry Whiskey Mules
Now, you have to start your cranberry whiskey mules with a copper mug or cup. The metal makes this cocktail taste so much more refreshing and keeps the drink cool too. Of course, you can always use a low-ball glass, but I personally prefer my mules in a copper mug 😉
Fill two glasses or mugs with ice. To each one, add 2 ounces of whiskey, 6 ounces ginger beer, and 1-2 ounces of cranberry juice. Stir to combine and then top with a squeeze of fresh lime juice. Garnish your mug with fresh cranberries, rosemary and lime.
If you aren’t into measuring exact amounts (like me), add whiskey to your liking, pour in ginger beer almost to the top and finish it off with a splash of cranberry juice and squeeze a wedge of lime. Enjoy this perfect Christmas Cocktail Recipe!
