Create a fun Valentines Tablescape in just 10 minutes! This casual table is perfect for any gathering, big or small.
Valentine’s Day looks a little different this year, so I thought I would create a casual Valentine tablescape that can be put together in under 10 minutes.
This simple tablescape is great for any gathering, big or small. Whether you want to create a special moment for your family or you are having a few friends over for some galentine’s cocktails, this table is perfect.
10 Minute Valentines Tablescape
I love Valentine’s Day and the cheery pops of pink and red. It really brightens the mood during the winter.
This year I wanted to create something festive but also easy to celebrate Valentine’s Day with our family. I love easy, don’t you?!
This Valentines centerpiece is so quick to put together for friends or family. I’ll walk you through how I did it, but as always, use this as inspiration and make your Valentines tablescape uniquely yours by putting your own touch and ideas into it!
How To Create A Simple Tablescape
To create a quick and easy Valentines tablescape, let’s start with a white table or tablecloth. The red hearts really pop off the white background. You can purchase all the paper products through my shop.
You could always use a table runner with a pattern too. Use what you have on hand and see what works in your space.
Use Heart Placemats as Table Runner
Next, I added these Heart Placemats. I like to use them layered down the middle of the table.
And because they are made of paper, you don’t have to worry about them getting food stains or candle wax on them. Toss them when you are done with them. I can usually get 2-3 uses out of them before they head for the recycle bin though.
You could also make your own hearts using scrapbook paper and some scissors. This would be a fun project to do with the kids and get creative!
Now, I added these paper banners to each heart and wrote Valentine’s Day sayings on each one using a black colored pencil.
If you don’t want to spend time doing the hand lettering, let the kids write some fun sayings or use a Valentines Day stamp. If you are looking for unique sayings, I like to sift through the jar of conversation hearts.
I love the banners and think they add the perfect vintage touch to this valentines tablescape.
Add Candy In Jars
Next, I added candy, cookies and chocolates to my vintage jelly jars and placed them down the table. My kids LOVED this idea. A real buffet of treats that they are always sneaking in to the dining room and grabbing handfuls of goodies.
Not only do these goodies add some fun color to this valentines tablescape, but they are a cute treat for guests to nibble on too.
I scattered some treats on the table runner for more color and to keep the look casual. And I added a few votives to the table as well.
Use Candles To Add Ambiance
Valentine’s Day is the holiday of love and nothing is more romantic than candles, right?
As a centerpiece, I added a potted mini rose. I found it at Trader Joe’s and they seem to be abundant this time of year. You could just as easily add a vase of roses or any other flowers as well.
So, there you have the easiest Valentines tablescape that you can pull together with minimal effort.
I think the end result is fun and perfect for any gathering. I plan on keeping it out for the next week or so and enjoying all the pops of happy color.
