Full Christmas Home Tour
I am joining Marty from A Stroll Thru Life and 30 bloggers to share our Christmas home tours! If you came over from Hymns and Verses, thank you for coming by!
If you are new here, welcome! I am Ashley, wife and mom to two young kids. We live in the suburbs of San Francisco and we have been updating our California ranch since we moved in 9 years ago. My husband is a contractor – follow along as we tackle our home renovation one project at a time!
I am so excited to share with you my home decorated for the holidays. I absolutely love Christmas and get so excited to decorate my home with twinkle lights, glitter and seasonal accents.
This year for my Christmas home tour, I added lots of vintage items that I have collected over the years. There’s just something so nostalgic about these old finds that I have always loved.
Come on in and let me show you around!
Christmas Home Tour: My Vintage Modern Front Porch
My front porch decor this year is much simpler than in years past. I am going to a somewhat minimalist farmhouse look infused with a ton of color.
Here, I used a simple faux garland draped around my door and added these nostalgic ceramic colored lights. I love the traditional glow they add. And I made this fun and colorful pom pom wreath. It is so happy for the holidays!
I like to add some twinkle lights to any outdoor plants and update the pillows on my porch for the season. These are simple ways you can add some holiday decor to your front porch.
You can see more of my Colorful Farmhouse Christmas Porch here.
Christmas Entryway
Our entryway holds our family piano. And this is a perfect spot to add some garland and bottlebrush trees.
I also added a fresh fir garland to the entryway to our kitchen. I will pin christmas cards to this with mini clothespins.
To keep this garland fresh longer, I soak it in a bucket filled with water outside (or in the garage) overnight. This allows the greenery to soak up as much water as possible before placing it inside where it’s sure to dry up with the heat going all day long.
Minimalist Farmhouse Christmas Kitchen
We recently added these beautiful built in cabinets and windowseat to our kitchen. I updated the cushions with some holiday pillows and draped some faux greenery above the window.
A quick change out of items on our open shelving adds pops of color for the season.
You don’t have to do anything fussy or fancy to add a little holiday cheer to your kitchen.

Christmas Home Tour: The Dining Room
I love creating a pretty table for the holidays. After all, the holidays are all about entertaining and gathering with friends and family.
This vintage modern Christmas tablescape features plaid plates and an easy faux garland centerpiece that I added fresh greenery to. This adds volume and texture and is a great way to add length too!
Vintage Modern Holiday Living Room
Our living room is where we host friends and family during the holidays. I try to make it feel extra cozy and inviting in this space with soft textures and a little extra holiday decor.
I updated the floating shelves that flank our television with bottlebrush trees and some seasonal artwork from my favorite Lindsay Letters.
And I love our vintage inspired fireplace mantel this year.
We added a new mirror a few months ago and I layered it with a Christmas canvas. The mantel is draped with faux greenery.
I used the same trick here with the fresh greenery. A few branches of fresh cedar and eucalyptus are stuck in between the faux garland to add dimension and interest.
Then, a few bottlebrush trees and vintage ornaments complete the look.
Vintage Modern Red and Pink Christmas Tree
Our Christmas tree is decorated in shades of pink and red this year. I absolutely love the combination and it definitely has a vintage vibe.
For the tree, I used my collection of vintage ornaments along with a few new bulbs to create this pink Christmas tree.
And I have been collecting vintage ornaments for over 20 years so I have a lot! A great way to add color to your living room is by adding bowls (or baskets, as I have here) of ornaments to your coffee table or other areas.
Or fill up an apothecary jar with some special vintage pieces. I even keep some that are a little battered and bruised in here. I just can’t seem to part with them!
Girly Pink Christmas Bedroom
My daughter was so excited this year to get a fun Christmas tree in her room! You can see all the details here.
Her pink tree is so cute in the basket and she loves the collection of Christmas books that are at hand for nighttime reading.
Thank you so much for coming by and checking out my Christmas Home Tour! I hope you leave feeling inspired and get some ideas you can replicate in your own home!

I always look forward to seeing your home, the retro-modern vibe you create is so fun and I adore your use of color. That red and pink tree is amazing, I love it. Your whole house is so pretty and full of inspiration. Two of my favorites are the dining room – gorgeous table setting and your daughter’s room. So pretty and feminine. Thanks so much for joining the tour.
