This neutral fall porch decor speaks to my heart. Soft colors with pumpkins and cornstalks. Come on over and I’ll show you around!
Neutral Fall Porch with Pumpkins
Last year I decorated my porch with darker pops of color. My front door was a charcoal color (Benjamin Moore’s Wrought Iron) and I used lots of oranges and greens.
Click here to see my Glam Farmhouse Fall Tour from last year.
Fast forward to this year and I have a new front door color.
Believe me when I tell you that when I chose the color for my front door (which is Clark & Kensington Mountainside Vista) I knew how I would decorate my front porch for all the holidays.
See, I LOVE to decorate my front porch. My neighbors all think I’m crazy, but what better way to infuse some personality into your home than on your front porch!
For fall, I had visions of pastel and neutral pumpkins that would play off the pale blue of my front door and pick up on the copper accents.
I like to use as many natural elements in my fall porch decor as possible. Not only does this require less storage, but it’s better for the environment. Pretty much everything can go in the compost bin at the end of the season.
Lots of pumpkins, cornstalks, hay bales and mums were all that I needed to create this fun and festive neutral fall front porch!
Autumn Decorating Ideas
One of my favorite times of day is the golden twilight hour. Everything looks more magical is the light of the setting sun, right?
We have these string lights hung all year round. And I think they totally enhance that twilight hour glow!
When we sit out on our front porch, I like to bring candles out to create a cozy fall vibe too.
See, lighting is everything when it comes to setting the mood! And it’s such an easy way to add to your fall porch decor!
All the decor for this neutral fall porch was picked up on two trips. One to our local nursery (Orchard Nursery in Lafayette, CA) for the pumpkins, mums and cornstalks.
And the second trip was to Target for some new pillows for our favorite hanging chairs from Serena and Lily.
What I love most about decorating for the seasons is keeping things fairly simple. Agreed, there is an abundance of pumpkins, but it wasn’t rocket science to put together this neutral fall porch look.
I just added to our existing decor. Don’t think too hard about decorating your front porch. And definitely have fun while you are doing it!
By adding in some new fall pillows, our Hello Fall sign and fresh pumpkins and mums, you can put together a new look for your front porch decor in under an hour.
One of the favorite parts of our front porch is having two areas that we can hang out in. And I love to update each for the season.
Seasonal flowers, fresh pumpkins and my favorite candles were all that I needed to make the spaces feel perfect for fall. And there are always extra blankets on hand to make the areas seem cozy and inviting as well.
Check out my latest fall porch!
UPDATE! Be sure to see how I decorated my porch most recently! I added colorful mums and heirloom pumpkins draped in twinkle lights. I will also walk you through some simple steps that will help you create a beautiful fall porch!

Jennifer @ Town and Country Living
What a gorgeous porch! Love the hanging chairs. Your porch is so expansive – I’ve never understood why some builders skimp on the size of porches. If you’re gonna have a covered porch – make it big and beautiful. Like yours. 🙂
