This Farmhouse Thanksgiving Table idea incorporates pumpkins and pretty orange and white table decor for easy and inexpensive entertaining.
This Thanksgiving table doesn’t require any fresh flowers, which makes planning for Thanksgiving easy and inexpensive too!
Farmhouse Thanksgiving Table Idea
I love to find unusual items that I can mix in with my everyday dishes and decor for a seasonal pop. These beautiful Harvest placemats were the jumping off point for this farmhouse Thanksgiving table idea. I love the watercolor design and the bold orange and brown colors feel traditional without being fussy.
And can you believe they are paper?! The ultimate easy entertaining item! My favorite Farmhouse Pottery dishes look perfect on top of the cute placemats. Topped with a simple white napkin and gold acorn napkin ring, this place setting has a definite farmhouse vibe.
Simple Thanksgiving Table Centerpiece
I wanted to keep this farmhouse Thanksgiving table simple and also easy to set up beforehand. I didn’t want to have to worry about wilting flowers or picking up last minute arrangements from the florist. So, I gathered all my mini white pumpkins and a few orange versions as well for the prettiest Thanksgiving table centerpiece idea.
I will be sharing more details and step by step instructions to recreate this look later this week.
Inexpensive Thanksgiving Table Decorations
By using our everyday dishes and flatware, it eliminates the need to use seasonal dishes. And I love to incorporate fresh seasonal items, such as the pumpkins to make the table feel festive without breaking the bank.
These paper placemats are also a great way to stick to a budget. They really make a huge impact on this table. All that is really needed are some pumpkins to make this farmhouse Thanksgiving table pop!
Tips For Setting A Farmhouse Thanksgiving Table
Here are a few tips for setting a farmhouse Thanksgiving table.
Skip the fancy table linens
The great thing about farmhouse style is the casual vibe that goes hand in hand with the very popular style. So, if you have a wood table, keep it simple and just use a runner or placemats for Thanksgiving dinner. No need for a tablecloth. Although you can definitely use one if you want to!
Keep the place setting simple
If you don’t have chargers or don’t want to layer up your dishes as you may sometimes see with more traditional place settings, have no fear!
You can even place a cloth napkin under the plate to serve as a rustic place mat until the meal is served as I did with my Simple Thanksgiving Table. Here, I used paper placemats and kept the place setting to just a dinner and salad plate.
When in doubt add candles
Farmhouse Thanksgiving or not, candles always up the wow factor! And there are so many flameless versions now that have the same effect. Add some candles to your farmhouse table and watch the magic happen!
Have fun and Happy Thanksgiving!
