Today I am sharing the first look at my holiday design for the year! I am so excited to share the look and feel that I have created in my home for the Christmas season.

Elegant Holiday Mantel With Candlesticks and Ribbon
For the holidays, I wanted my home to feel warm, cozy and inviting. This fall I painted our shiplap wall this beautiful dark, moody green. The color is Studio Green by Farrow & Ball. And it’s the perfect color to set the cozy tone for this year’s holiday look.
A new mirror graces our mantel and I love it! While I wasn’t planning on buying a new mirror, I ended up breaking the old one while I was working on styling this mantel. Ugh! The old round mirror shattered into a million pieces.
Luckily I had my eye on this one from Lulu & Georgia. I guess you can call it a happy accident because it gave this elegant holiday mantel the perfect timeless feel that I was going for.
I used the same garland that I had on my Natural & Cozy Mantel from last Christmas. But this year, I added another smaller garland to the top section to add some extra fullness. I love that this garland is pre-lit with tiny LED fairy lights.
To add that elegant touch to my holiday mantel, a few strands of gorgeous velvet ribbon are woven through the garland. I used this pretty dark wine color and a rich golden brown.
Adding in this strand of wooden beads gives a warmth and richness to mantel that I always seem to be drawn to.
The entire look is finished off with artwork from Lindsay Letters and some antique brass candlesticks. I always use these flameless wax taper candles and I LOVE how they look without the mess and fuss of real candles.
Let me know if you have any questions and I hope this gives you some inspiration and ideas for decorating your home for the holidays!

Beautiful! Would you please tell us where you purchased the gold stars?

They are from Target (Studio McGee for Threshold) – but I don’t see them sold any more. I linked similar ones in the post.

I love this. It’s really beautiful! I found most of the items you’ve sourced, but where did you get the little star ornaments?
