This simple DIY rose and eucalyptus wreath is perfect for your summer front porch. Beautiful white roses dot a eucalyptus wreath for a look that is timeless and will last for years to come.
If you’ve been here awhile, then you know I love roses. So this rose and eucalyptus wreath has been in the works for a long time coming.
Summer White Rose And Eucalyptus Wreath
The front of our house is lined with iceberg roses. I love these roses and look forward to them blooming every year. I have two guides where I share all my tips for growing beautiful roses. You can check them out here:

So, creating this summer wreath that features my favorite white roses seemed like a no-brainer. I love how the roses pop against the soft sage eucalyptus.
My original inspiration for this wreath came from an image I found on Pinterest. It was made using fresh eucalyptus and pretty real roses.
I love the idea of this for a special occasion. But, to have this wreath last all summer long and for years to come, I decided to make this DIY summer wreath with faux florals.
How To Make A DIY Summer Wreath
Making this wreath is easy and doesn’t require any special tools. You just need a glue gun and some faux florals. Here are the supplies:
DIY Rose and Eucalyptus Wreath Supplies
- Glue Gun
- Faux Eucalyptus Wreath
- 5 Large Faux Garden Roses
- 1 Faux Cabbage Rose Bouquet
I found a great, large faux eucalyptus wreath from AFloral.com. I liked how big it was and the mix of eucalyptus they used. It even included some seeded eucalyptus.
P.S. we got a kitten. And the kitten now gets into everything! I was trying to take pictures for this post and he immediately thought it was a game.
But, he sure is cute! And he makes this time spent during quarantine much more enjoyable! Meet Nigel…or Harry…or Hugo. The name is still up in the air.
Ok, back to the project at hand. You could totally make your own eucalyptus wreath using a wreath form, a eucalyptus garland and a few eucalyptus floral picks.
But, if you’re like me and like a good shortcut, this pre-made wreath is a total time saver!
The white garden roses that I used for this wreath are substantial and I wanted them to look like the David Austin variety. And I used one rose bouquet and cut up the sections into 5 parts.
Ok, on to the simple and easy steps to make this rose and eucalyptus wreath.
Step 1: Plan Your Design
First, lay out your supplies and figure out how you want to space your roses amongst the wreath.
I chose to group the roses into sets of three. I used a sprig of 2 roses from the cabbage rose bouquet with one large garden rose. And I cut the rose bouquet into sections.
For my 26″ wreath, I used 5 sets of 3 roses and spaced them evenly around the wreath.
Ok, once you have your design planned out, get started assembly the wreath.
Step 2: Assemble your Rose and Eucalyptus Wreath
Cut the stems of your roses to be about 4″ long. Tuck the stems into the wreath under the existing wire or whatever is used to hold the wreath together. Once you have them placed where you want, add a dot of hot glue to hold it in place.
Since the wreath will be hanging vertically, you want to make sure your roses don’t droop or start to fall off your wreath.
You can choose to hang your wreath using a ribbon or leave it simple. The wreath that I used has a hook on the back which was perfect for popping right onto the front of my door.
This rose and eucalyptus wreath took me less than 20 minutes to make. It’s as simple as adding a few roses to a premade eucalyptus wreath. What do you think?
