This colorful Farmhouse Christmas porch features simple design and fun and bright colors for the holidays.
Simple front porch holiday decor ideas to transform your home for Christmas. And If you came over from Bre, Rooms for Rent, a huge welcome! I am always inspired by Bre and her beautiful holiday decorating style.
Colorful Farmhouse Christmas Porch
My favorite space to decorate at our house is the front porch. And I love to add character and personality to the front door. After all, it is the first impression that guests get when they come visit!
Last year I chose a neutral Modern Farmhouse style with galvanized buckets and lit Christmas trees. And the year before I had a tiny forest flanking the door in my Very Vintage Christmas porch.
Now, for my farmhouse Christmas porch this year, I am using more color! I am infusing my entire home with a lot more color than usual. Pops of red and pink against an all white background is what’s happening in the whole home.
But, at the same time I am keeping it simple. Less decor overall. See, the color really speaks for itself. Check out my Modern Farmhouse Christmas Kitchen to see how I kept things simple and modern.
Modern Farmhouse Christmas Decor
So, when I started to transform our front porch for the holidays, I knew I wanted to use my DIY Rainbow Christmas Pom Pom Wreath. See, that was really the whole inspiration for my holiday decor this year.
I also wanted to keep it simple here on the porch. I wanted my Christmas porch so have a minimalist farmhouse vibe. And I didn’t want to spend too much time fussing over how to make it perfect for Instagram, ha!
Most of the items I pulled from years past for this. Repurpose and restyle the items that you love for the holidays!
So, these faux pine garlands are so simple and I like how they show off the vintagey ceramic bulb lights. I have always loved these lights. They just scream Christmas and I’m so happy that I decided to go against the all-white grain and add them to this farmhouse Christmas porch.
Christmas Door Decorations
Are you team white twinkle lights or do you like these nostalgic colored lights? I’m not going to lie – I love them both. But, these rainbow-hued lights make my heart sing.
I picked up this vintage crock at the end of summer. I had grand plans for it for my fall front porch. But, it never made the cut. Now it sure feels perfect for this farmhouse Christmas porch!
And this new faux cedar tree looks absolutely perfect inside of it and bonus points because I can’t kill it! Next, I draped the cedar tree with my favorite battery-operated LED lights.
And I am reusing these beloved lanterns for the third year in a row. They are sold out but I found a similar version HERE. They are perfect for adding fake snow, flameless candles and vintage ornaments to. And they definitely have that farmhouse vibe for this Christmas porch.
These are by far my favorite flameless candles that smell like vanilla and have a remote with 5 hour timer. And I have 4 sets of them all over my home and HIGHLY recommend them!
Finally, a quick swap out of my HomeBody doormat for this new VERY MERRY version completes the look.
