Strawberry Frozen Rosé recipe
When the temps heat up, I love making a batch of my favorite frozen rosé! I have a great recipe for Watermelon Frosé for a less sweet version of this perfect summer cocktail.
But, it’s strawberry season and it’s also rosé season, so what better combination is there than this recipe for Frozen Rosé for summer?
This recipe is simple. All you need is a bottle of dry rosé wine, frozen strawberries and something to sweeten it, like my favorite Elderflower liquor or simple syrup.
Tips for making Frozen Rosé
You want a nice, dry rosé wine for the base of this frozen rosé recipe. The dry wine is less sweet and lends itself better to mixing with other flavors.
You can start with chilled wine and use frozen strawberries, or you can use fresh strawberries and freeze the wine in ice cube trays. The wine will take about 6 hours to freeze. But due to the alcohol content, it will not freeze completely.
Add lemon or lime juice to bring out the flavors of the wine and counterbalance the addition of sweeteners.
How to Make Frosé
Ok, so now that you know all the fundamentals about how to make a great strawberry frozen rosé, let’s get started with the recipe!
Add your frozen strawberries and rosé to your blender. Pulse until it’s combined.
Add in a few ounces of sweetener of your choice. This could be St. Germain Elderflower liquor, simple syrup or even a few tablespoons of sugar. The sugar makes this frosé taste much smoother. But you can adjust the amount of sweetener depending on your personal taste.
Add the juice of one lime and some ice. Blend until smooth. You may need to add more or less ice depending on the desired consistency of your frozen rosé.
Pour into your favorite glasses and enjoy!

I originally had this drink in Aria in Las Vegas and it blew my mind. My best friend and I had talked about going back but then life happened, marriage, kids, Covid-19, and chronic illnesses. I finally decided to look this drink up after 4 years of longing for it. I am addicted to elderflower so my longing was strong. I made this but also added strawberry daiquiri mix to bolster the strawberry taste. With loads of ice, I could not distinguish the homemade from Vegas’ rendition. I am in love.
