A Simple and Fresh Easter Table

Easter is around the corner and that means spring is too! While I admit, I love fall and winter, I do love spring too! The promise of a fresh start along with all the colorful blooms is a win win! This Simple and Fresh Easter Table is sure to give you all the spring feels!

Fresh Spring Flowers for Easter

When I first set out to create our Easter table this year I knew I wanted to use an abundance of flowers. Because what says Spring more than tulips, daffodils and crocuses? Nothing I tell you! And since we have been having so much rain here in California I thought I would bring the garden inside!

I set off to our local nursery and found exactly what I was looking for. Early spring flowers in bright colors! I picked up a few containers not entirely sure how or where I was going to plant them. But I knew they would look beautiful as part of my Easter table.

When I got home I scrounged around my house looking for pots that matched each other. But I had nothing! That’s when I decided to think outside the box.

Non-traditional Pots for a simple and fresh easter table

I gathered together some of my white serving bowls and an old teapot. I decided that rather than plant the flowers in traditional pots, I would try to plant them in something new and different!

One thing led to another and I decided to use my old candle vessels as well for some of the smaller flowers. I love how this added an unexpected element to the table.

And I love it so much I think I am going to continue to do this all year round! How cute would these be in the kitchen potted with herbs perfect for snipping while cooking?!

The place settings

When I was at Target recently I saw these adorable egg cups as part of the Hearth and Hand collection. Too cute to pass up, they landed in my cart.

Now, I’m not much of a traditionalist so I knew they would end up with a purpose beyond holding an egg. Fast forward to yesterday’s trip to the nursery and ta-da! They are the perfect name tag for each guest.

I used a simple skewer and a scrap of paper to create these little name tags. And I just love the fun vibe the grass gives to each setting!

And these fun gold speckled plates remind me of robin’s eggs. Perfect for Easter, right?! I always love the contrast of the glitzy gold accents against my rustic farmhouse style table.

Natural Dyed Easter Eggs

I have always wanted to try dying Easter eggs with vegetable dye and other natural ingredients. And I love the way these turned out! They add the perfect pastel touch to my Easter table.

Easter Bar Cart

Of course I had to update my bar cart for the season. Here sits my favorite chocolate bunny. Fooled you didn’t I?! I just love this ceramic chocolate bunny from one of my favorite local stores, Hudson Grace. Isn’t he the cutest? No Easter is complete without the reappearance of this guy each year!
